Terms of service

1. Acceptance

By downloading, installing, or using GamaLab (the "Software") or this website, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Software.

2. License

GamaLab is provided free of charge for personal and commercial use. We grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and run the Software on any number of devices you control.

You may not reverse-engineer, decompile, or repackage the Software for redistribution. You may not remove or alter any copyright notices.

3. Your data

GamaLab is local-first. You retain full ownership and responsibility for the database credentials, schemas, and queries you use with the Software. We do not access, store, or back up any of that content on our side. See the Privacy policy for what limited data leaves your machine.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Software to:

• Access systems, networks, or data you are not authorized to access.
• Violate applicable laws or third-party rights.
• Submit prompts to the AI assistant that contain illegal content or content that violates the AI provider's usage policies.

5. AI assistant

The AI assistant generates SQL from your natural-language prompts. Outputs may be inaccurate, incomplete, or unsafe to run against production data. You are solely responsible for reviewing any generated query before executing it.

6. As-is, no warranty

The Software is provided "as is", without any warranty of any kind — express, implied, or statutory — including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, GamaLab and its contributors shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or business, arising out of your use of the Software. Some jurisdictions do not allow these limitations; in those jurisdictions, liability is limited to the smallest amount permitted by law.

8. Termination

You may stop using the Software at any time by uninstalling it. We may discontinue the Software, withdraw it from the Microsoft Store, or stop providing updates at any time; the binary you have already installed will keep working offline.

9. Governing law

These Terms are governed by French law. Any dispute that cannot be resolved amicably will be submitted to the competent French courts.

10. Changes

We may update these Terms. The effective date above will change accordingly. Continued use of the Software after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
